What this page covers
This is the detail behind one sentence in our Privacy Policy: nothing non-essential runs on this site before you have agreed to it. The table below is every cookie we set, what it is for, and how long it lasts.
Change your mind at any time
"Cookie settings" in the footer re-opens the consent banner on any page, so you never have to clear your browser to change a decision.
Essential cookies — set without asking
These are required for the site to function, so Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and § 25(2) No. 2 TTDSG permit setting them without consent.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers which language you were shown, so you are not switched back to English on your next visit. | 1 year |
cookie_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or declined non-essential cookies, so the banner does not reappear on every page. | 6 months |
We also use Vercel Speed Insights and Vercel Web Analytics. Neither sets a cookie or identifies you individually. They report aggregated, anonymous numbers (how fast pages load, which pages are visited), so they are not in the table above and need no consent.
Non-essential cookies — set only after you agree
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes you from other visitors, so repeat visits are counted once. | 2 years |
_ga_3PR60D4KNP | Google Analytics | Holds the state of your current browsing session for Google Analytics. | 2 years |
Google Analytics does not load at all until you click "Accept analytics" in the banner. If you click "Decline" instead, or never make a choice, these two cookies are never set and no data reaches Google through this tool. Clicking "Accept" counts as your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, and you can withdraw it at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer — withdrawing does not undo analytics already collected, but stops any more from being collected from that point on.
See who processes this data and where for the sub-processor and international-transfer detail that applies once you accept.
If you decline
Declining is a complete answer, not a delay: nothing non-essential runs, and the banner does not ask again until you reopen it yourself from "Cookie settings." The site works identically either way — analytics only changes what we can see about how it is used, never what you can do on it.
